1. Is it necessary to perform an off-target effect analysis for our edited cells?

It is recommended to perform this test to figure out the off-target cleavages, especially when the editing step is the foundation of your project. Unexpected cleavages may cause false-positive or false-negative results when the edited products are used for further analysis.

2. What type of samples do you accept?

Both cells and genomic DNA are acceptable as test samples. The amounts of samples vary to different assays. Please contact us for more detailed requirement before submitting.

3. Is this service only adopted to CRISPR/Cas9?

No. Actually, most of assays are applied for TALEN and ZFNs too.

4. Which stage is the best time for off-target effects analysis?

Creative Biogene employs two types of assays for off-target effect analysis. One is used as prediction tool and the other is used for verification. They are complementary, to be used either together or separately depending on the situation. The ideal way is to predict before cell editing and then verify after cell editing.

5. What are the deliverables?

7. How can I deliver the materials to you?

It is recommended to deliver the materials on dry ice. Bad shipping condition may destroy the samples so that we can not go to the next step even we get them.
