This product is the recombinant Acidaminococcus Cfp1 nuclease purified from E.coli. The Cpf1 is a RNA-guided endonuclease, which is smaller and simpler than Cas9. It can be used for gene editing by inducing double-strand breaks in genomic DNA. Combining with crRNA, Cpf1 targets to specific site of genome by identification of a PAM 5'-YTN-3' and leads to a sticky-end-like DNA break of 4 or 5 nucleotides overhang.
